Work Experience with Banksy...

Sitting around wondering what to post when I remembered I had an email in my inbox from a couple of months back containing a picture of Banksy's recent piece in London.
Back in December (2007) I was working with Peacock design in London...
I was doing my work placement there - for the 2nd time, and I was really enjoying it.
About a week after I came back I had an email through from the managing director of the company saying Banksy had left his mark around the corner.
Gutted I didn't get to see it n person...

Bumping up the contrast...

High Contrasts new Drum&Bass remix of Adele's 'Home Town' has been playing on Radio 1 recently, spotted by Annie Mac and Zane Lowe.
I've heard quite a bit of the cardiff born, DJ's work, while studying my A levels in Gorseinon College, and I loved his sound.
Also love the fact that he does all his music videos himself!
But this remix - Something else!
Check him out on myspace - (High Contrasrt)

After kidulthood comes...

Yes thats right, there cant be a Kidulthood without an Adulthood!
The 2nd film is out on June 20th and I am WELL up for watching it.
The last one really impressed me with its cuts, edits, and design.
I feel this one might be that little bit better for the simple reason that the creator (Noel Clarke) has some experience from creating Kidulthood.
This one is set 6 years later.
Its based on Sam's life after being released from jail for killing "Trevaaaaaa" his uncles "Likal gun Drillllaaaaaaa" haha.
Go watch it, it should be a good one!

Has it come to this....

Now The Street's "Beat Stevie" has been around for quite a while now, and I like the way it works.
It has had a mini show on Channel 4 and has constant shows on the tinterweb, mainly showing on Youtube.
Its nice since The Streets have always had originality on their side, which is important in the world of media.
In my opinion lets get a Sick Boy, Inc. "web show" going, haha!

New Amir Khan movie.... 3D

Amir Khan is my hero...
I dream of the day when I could have a training session with him!
I even have the same boxing gloves as him... haha!
I have liked the promotional work he has done with RBK as well.
When he 1st released the "I am what I am" film campaign I thought it was great, but know he has released a new film but this time... 3D!
I was very impressed to get the film up on my laptop screen, put a pair of old 3d specs on, and sit and watch punches fly at me from my computer screen!
Impressive!

Im not a gangster!...

No matter how many times I watch this film, the opening scene is "lush" haha.
When Daniel Craig is walking through the chemist with Hayling - FC Kahuna playing in the background, explaining how drugs changed the world, I believe the the visual graphics are very simple yet effective, which work well.
Im a big fan of Layer Cake because of the visual design of the full film!

Turning the ads old school

After the 1st time I watched the cadburys gorilla playing the drums to Phil Collins song in the air tonight, I thought it was great, but now almost a year on Drench spring water have released an advert with brains from thunderbirds dancing to Snap's - Rhythm is a dancer.
Could this be the new cadburys gorilla?...
In my opinion the Drench ad is better but then again that might be because I have seen the cadburys ad more then 10 times lol

Yo Yo

This is the 1st post on the new blog...

When I have some stuff you might be interested in Il post it, but until then...

Keep your eyes peeled! x
